Project Blue’s research activities are all based and supported by a related research agenda focused on sustainable transitions in the coastal zone and geographies of the Blue Economy.
The International Just Sustainable Blue Economy Research Group (IJSBERG) is a collaboration of researchers from Southern Connecticut State University, Liverpool John Moores University, Mary Immaculate College University of Limerick, and University Centre of the Westfjords. The aim of IJSBERG is to make the ‘diverse economies’ and (un)justice in the context of the Blue Economy visible.
Coastal Transitions is a collaboration between the Department of The Environment, Geography and Marine Sciences at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) and the Geography Faculty at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). The aim of the initiative is to open up a conversation about sustainability transitions in the coastal zone from an inter- and trans-disciplinary perspective.
